Your safety comes first

Most deals on Classi go smoothly. These simple habits help you avoid scams and bad deals, whether you are buying or selling.

Meet in a safe, public place

Choose a busy spot such as a café or shopping centre, ideally in daylight. Tell a friend where you are going.

Never pay in advance

Do not send deposits, gift cards or wire transfers to someone you have not met. Pay only after you have inspected the item.

Inspect before you buy

Check that the item works and matches the ad. For vehicles and property, ask for documents and verify ownership.

Too good to be true?

Very low prices, urgent pressure or stories about shipping agents are classic scam signs. When in doubt, walk away.

Protect your personal data

Never share passwords, verification codes, or bank and card details. Classi will never ask for your password.

Keep chats on Classi

Use the built-in chat so there is a record of your conversation. Be cautious if someone insists on moving elsewhere right away.

Check the seller

Look at the seller’s profile, other ads and store page, and ask questions. Genuine sellers are happy to answer.

Be careful with shipping

If you ship or receive items, use tracked and insured delivery and keep receipts. Do not release goods until payment is confirmed.

Report suspicious ads

Use the “Report abuse” link on any ad or contact us. Our team reviews every report.

Think you have been scammed?

  1. Stop contact with the other party and do not send more money or information.
  2. Keep the evidence: screenshots, chat messages, payment receipts and the ad link.
  3. Report it to us through the Contact page with the link to the ad so we can act quickly.
  4. Contact your bank or payment provider immediately if you shared financial details or sent money.
  5. Inform your local police if you have lost money or believe a crime has taken place.
